Are PVC tubes brittle?  Will they break?

PVC tubes are much more durable than aluminum.  All siphon tubes can be damaged with misuse.  Under normal use, PVC tubes will provide years of quality service.  Our tubes have survived large size hail storms with no damage while the aluminum tubes appeared to have been beaten with a ball peen hammer.  All PVC products tend to become somewhat brittle in subfreezing temperatures.  In the normal irrigating season these tubes have withstood being run over with tractors and pick-ups with no damage.

Are PVC tubes hot to handle?

NO.  Unlike aluminum and black poly plastic tubes, which can actually burn your hands on a hot day, our tubes do not absorb heat.

Are your tubes a lot heavier than aluminum tubes?

Only slightly heavier.  The newer aluminum tubes are very thin walled and can be crushed by simploy stepping on them.

Does anhydrous amonia build up in PVC tubes like it does in aluminum tubes?

NO!  Manufacturers tests have proven absolutely no effect on PVC tubes.  Aluminum tubes used with anhydrous amonia fertigation developed in a short period of time, a thick non-removable crust that restrict the opening and causes the tube to weigh like an iron pipe.
